Cracktini Cousin (…Sister of the Streetfighter)

Since we wrote about the cracktini we’ve gotten emails from as far away as Punjab about how to find NO Explode.  Well guys, if you don’t have a GNC in your neighborhood (or province in Sandeep’s case), we’ll offer an alternative that we found in PSFK, the tequila-espresso.  The tequila-espresso appears to be another cracktini-esque drink.  It’s not a TRUE cracktini, but it’s the thought that counts…and of course we love its Italian/Mexican heritage (2 of our favorite countries).  We also think it’s hilarious that origins of the drink are traced back to one of our old haunts in LA, Chateau Marmont.  Revolut

Through a bit of experimentation, we recommend HIGH quality tequila–not that regular Cuervo bottle that you’re so used to buying cause it’s cheap.  Get sippin tequila, like Patron or Don Julio for this beverage.

By the way, if you know where “sister of the streetfighter” comes from you win a prize. :)

Glad to see you guys picked up on my PSFK post. I think there’s a drink off in our near future.

Holy Shit Trey!!! I didn’t even realize it’s one of yours…how appropriate. A drink-off it is.

So then where does the “sister drink” come from? Had you heard of this before my article?
